LG Electronics Elevates Home Appliance Landscape with AI Innovations in Middle East and Africa
LG Electronics is making a significant strategic push into the Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets, unveiling a comprehensive suite of artificial intelligence-powered home appliances. This initiative aims to bolster LG’s competitive standing amidst a rapidly evolving consumer electronics sector in the region. The company showcased its latest advancements at the LG InnoFest 2026 MEA, a prominent event held in Abu Dhabi from February 3rd to 5th.
The exhibition, aptly themed “Innovation, Forward Together,” served as a platform for LG to present its cutting-edge developments across several key home appliance categories. These include advanced clothing care systems, sophisticated kitchen appliances, integrated built-in kitchen solutions, and comprehensive cleaning technologies. A notable emphasis was placed on designs meticulously adapted to meet the specific needs and preferences of consumers in the MEA region.
LG InnoFest marks a significant return for the company’s flagship regional event for partners and media, following a seven-year hiatus. This resurgence underscores LG’s sustained and long-term dedication to the MEA markets, where it continues to solidify and expand its presence.
Revolutionizing Laundry Care with AI Core-Tech
In the realm of laundry, LG is enhancing its residential offerings with appliances that boast larger capacities, premium design aesthetics, and its proprietary AI Core-Tech. These innovative products are equipped with AI Wash and AI Dry functionalities, engineered to optimize washing and drying processes based on individual usage patterns, thereby delivering superior efficiency.
Leading the new laundry lineup is the 29-inch LG SIGNATURE WashCombo™, an all-in-one washer-dryer that claims the distinction of having the world’s largest capacity. Complementing this, LG is expanding its popular LG WashTower™ series with a new 25-inch model. This addition joins the existing 24-inch and 27-inch versions, providing greater flexibility for diverse installation environments. The WashTower’s unique vertical design seamlessly integrates a washer and dryer, maximizing space efficiency in homes.
Further enhancing its WashCombo™ offerings, LG is introducing a new 27-inch model at the event. This model features an impressive 25-kilogram washing capacity and a 21-kilogram drying capacity. It leverages LG’s advanced DUAL Inverter HeatPump™ technology to ensure enhanced drying stability and improved energy efficiency. The company is also exhibiting a new front-load washer characterized by a sleek, flat design, an integrated LCD display, and an AI Direct Drive™ motor. This intelligent motor dynamically adjusts washing performance based on the weight of the load and the type of fabric.
LG’s commitment to laundry innovation extends beyond the residential sector. The company is also extending its expertise to the commercial segment, introducing app- and API-based solutions that empower partners with remote monitoring and management capabilities for their operations.
Intelligent Kitchen Solutions for Modern Living
LG is championing its “Fit & Max” concept within its kitchen appliance portfolio, emphasizing a harmonious blend of built-in aesthetics and intelligent functionality. The company’s refrigerator range includes the sophisticated LG InstaView™ French Door model, distinguished by its Zero Clearance hinge and advanced AI Fresh technology. Alongside this, a new bottom freezer model is being presented, designed for seamless integration into kitchen cabinetry. These additions reinforce LG’s established position as the number one refrigerator brand in the region.
Among the cooking appliances on display is a redesigned SolarDOM™ All-in-One Microwave Oven. This model features a semi-built-in design, a user-friendly 2.4-inch LCD interface, and Wi-Fi connectivity facilitated by the LG ThinQ app. It offers an extensive library of up to 60 Auto Cook menus and versatile functions, including Air Fry.
LG is also showcasing an updated range of dishwashers, incorporating its QuadWash® Pro technology. This innovation utilizes micro-scale air bubbles to significantly enhance cleaning performance and reduce wash cycle times. The intelligent AI SenseClean technology automatically calibrates wash and rinse cycles based on the detected levels of contamination. Furthermore, the efficient 1-Hour Wash & Dry function enables a complete wash and dry cycle in as little as 39 minutes.
Premium Built-in Appliances Tailored for the MEA Market
Catering to the premium segment, LG has unveiled a new collection of built-in kitchen appliances specifically designed with MEA preferences in mind. The Wide Combi built-in refrigerator has been enlarged to a width of 690 millimeters, thereby increasing its internal capacity to a substantial 385 liters. The Inverter ProBake™ built-in oven utilizes a BLDC motor-driven bidirectional fan, ensuring faster and more uniform heating for superior cooking results.
The exhibition also highlights LG’s comprehensive total cleaning solutions. These include a Wet & Dry stick vacuum featuring an innovative automatic water supply system, and a new robot vacuum equipped with 100-degree Celsius steam mopping capabilities and a compact, discreet docking station.
Hyoung Sub Ji, LG West Africa Subsidiary President, expressed his confidence in the company’s strategic direction, stating, “LG is committed to delivering user-centric, locally optimized solutions that make everyday life more convenient for customers across the Middle East and Africa.
