Teacher Admits to Inappropriate Relationship with Student
A teacher at an Indianapolis Christian School has admitted to engaging in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student. Torrie Lemon, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of felony child seduction after her relationship with a student from Colonial Christian School was exposed.
Lemon received a sentence that includes 40 days in jail for a four-year term, followed by 1,420 days of probation. According to police documents reviewed by Fox Digital, the inappropriate relationship began in January 2025. Officials alleged that she had sex with the student and engaged in misconduct on school grounds, at her apartment, and in the victim’s home.
The victim told police that she initially wanted to maintain a friendship with the teacher, but Lemon quickly started discussing her attraction to women and making sexual jokes, as reported by Fox 59. The arrest affidavit stated, “Victim advised she never intended their relationship to be sexual, and they wanted it to just be a friendship because they knew it was wrong.”
Lemon first kissed the victim during a school trip to Wabash, Indiana, according to court documents. 
The pair were allowed to have sleepovers at the victim’s house, where they allegedly shared a pullout couch, as reported by the New York Post. Lemon sent the teen several messages, some of which discussed ‘climaxing’ and ‘laying in bed,’ according to court documents. One message read, “I love you more than I can describe. I love my girl. Thank you for an amazing night and morning.”
The victim’s parents told police they had noticed Lemon spending more time with their daughter but did not know the extent of the relationship. The mother noted that their friendship seemed to progress quickly because Lemon brought her flowers and gave gifts within a couple of weeks. The report continued, “Victim’s mother advised she didn’t know when the relationship became physical, but she noticed that victim and Ms. Lemon were on the phone all the time.”
The teen’s father told police that he was aware she “kissed, hugged and cuddled” Lemon but did not want the educator to be fired, according to court documents. The victim allegedly asked her father about the age of consent laws in Indiana. 
Colonial Christian School informed the Daily Mail that they became aware of Lemon’s “misconduct” on April 10, 2025. The school statement said, “We took immediate action, placed the teacher on leave, and contacted the Indiana Department of Child Services, and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. The teacher’s employment was terminated.” The school added, “Throughout this process, Colonial Christian School fully cooperated with law enforcement and prosecuting authorities.”
According to an arrest affidavit, Lemon’s affair was exposed while she was chaperoning a school trip to South Carolina. Another student found pictures of the pair kissing on the victim’s phone and reportedly informed a school employee, according to court documents. Lemon admitted to South Carolina police that she was “having an inappropriate relationship with a student from our school.” She was officially charged on June 30, 2025.
