Former House of Representatives Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu, Hon. Ejiro Waive, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, and other candidates have been declared victors in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary elections conducted throughout Delta State in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
In the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency primary, Elumelu obtained the APC nomination following his success in the process held throughout the constituency.
Elumelu was announced as the victor by the returning officer, Mr. Val Arenyeka, at the Oshimili South Local Government Council Secretariat.
In a similar manner, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu emerged victorious in the APC primary within the Ethiope Federal Constituency following a smooth process throughout the wards, whereas Mr. Emmanuel Osazuwa achieved success in the Ika Federal Constituency.
In the Burutu Federal Constituency, Hon. Julius Pondi was also declared the victor of the APC primary election, which took place smoothly throughout the area.
In the meantime, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has praised the calm and well-organized process of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary elections throughout the state, calling the event a clear demonstration of the party’s unity, openness, and increasing power in preparation for the 2027 national elections.
Shortly after voting in his Ward, within the Okpe Local Government Area during the primary for the Okpe/Sapele/Ughelli Federal Constituency, Oborevwori voiced contentment with the degree of involvement and the peaceful environment that defined the process.
He remarked, ‘You can observe the calm way the primary election for the House of Representatives in the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency took place. The community is content, cohesive, and pleased with the procedure.’
Governor Oborevwori observed that the significant number of party members present highlighted the increasing support for the APC throughout the constituency and Delta State.
He conveyed assurance that the same sense of togetherness and peaceful living shown throughout the primary elections across the state, would continue during the main elections.
“I would like to express my gratitude to all who attended this primary election. Their involvement and dedication highlight the power and solidarity within our party. This clearly shows that we have committed members prepared to contribute to the party’s success in 2027,” he added.
After the exercise, Chief Bernard Jagboro and Hon. Madis Emerorota, who represent Hon. Ramson Onoyake and Mr. Odiate Obaro Emmanuel respectively, praised the party leadership for facilitating a free, fair, and transparent process during the event.
They highly commended Governor Oborevwori for ensuring an equitable environment for all candidates and thanked party supporters for their calm involvement throughout the process.
In the Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme praised the APC’s implementation of the Option A4 voting system in the Onicha-Ukwuani primary election.
Speaking to reporters following his vote in his Ward, Onicha-Ukwuani, Onyeme referred to Option A4 as the most effective method of voting, emphasizing its role in ensuring transparency, openness, and responsibility.
“If one aims to be honest, this is the most suitable method of voting. Option A4 is ideal for our nation since secret voting involves much deception,” he stated. He commended the calm execution of the process throughout the state.
