Actor Williams Uchemba has mentioned that he will not discuss the marital status or claimed children of late actor Alexx Ekubo, emphasizing that these issues should be handled solely by Ekubo’s close family members.
Speaking during a recent interview, Uchemba, a close friend of the late actor, stated that he would honor any choice Ekubo made to keep certain aspects of his personal life private.
“Although I don’t believe I’m in a position to say, because if Alex wanted it that way, I think I would respect it. I would honor his wishes and he desired it like that,” he stated.
He mentioned that if any details were to be disclosed, they should originate directly from the family, pointing out that some people choose to maintain confidentiality regarding personal issues.
“If anything emerges from that, it would be his family. People make their own choices; some may not want it revealed or in the public eye. Therefore, it’s still best for his close family to make any statements about it,” he added.
Uchemba’s comments came after increasing online conversations regarding whether Ekubo has children.
The family of Ekubo has stated that he passed away at Evercare Hospital in Lagos following a struggle with metastatic kidney cancer and has asked for privacy during their time of grief.
