Pakistan, May 17 — Engro Elengy Terminal (EETL) has successfully received and started unloading the biggest LNG shipment in Pakistan’s history, under pressure on global energy supplies.
The management of the Q-Flex ship, which transported more than 210,000 cubic meters of LNG, showcased the terminal’s infrastructure and the team’s expertise. The process involved intricate vessel handling.
A two-part discharge process was carried out at the terminal safely and smoothly while managing tidal and draft limitations, according to a news statement.
This achievement was realized due to strong collaboration among Port Qasim Authority (PQA), Excelerate Energy, Nakilat (NSQL), Qatar Energy, SSGC, PSO, and the operational teams throughout the terminal network.
It showcased the technical skills and resilience of all terminal teams and involved parties. This crucial event holds importance that goes well beyond the volume of the LNG shipment. For millions in Pakistan, it ensures that power will keep flowing when it is most essential.
