Heinous Act: Grandfather Sentenced to Two Decades for Raping Granddaughter

It was there, in a secluded, bushy area, that he forcibly dragged her away and subjected her to a brutal sexual assault. In a further act of cruelty and control, the man allegedly threatened the child with severe physical harm should she dare to disclose the horrific ordeal to anyone.
The devastating truth of the abuse only came to light when the brave young victim found the courage to confide in her grandmother about the assault. Prompted by her granddaughter’s disclosure, the grandmother immediately reported the matter to the police, initiating the chain of events that led to the grandfather’s arrest and subsequent conviction.
