Sri Lanka, May 16 — Ten travelers were hurt when a train heading from Polgahawela to Kalutara South veered off the tracks between the Kelaniya and Wanawasala railway stations.
The wounded passengers were taken to the Colombo National Hospital for medical care.
The police stated that one of the train’s carriages flipped over onto the tracks due to the accident.
Railway officials arrived at the location to clear the tracks and resume regular services, as inquiries into the derailment are being conducted.
