Drake Shatters 2026 Spotify Record

Pakistan, May 17 — Drake has quickly made his mark. Within 24 hours of releasing his unexpected set of three albums, the rapper has set three Spotify records in one day, and that’s before considering his achievements on Amazon Music.

By the end of Friday, Drake had achieved the title of the most-streamed musician on Spotify in a single day during 2026.

His ninth album, Iceman, became the most-streamed album in a single day this year, while its first track, Make Them Cry, achieved the status of the most-streamed song in a single day in 2026.

On Amazon Music, Iceman achieved the largest first 24-hour streaming launch worldwide for a hip-hop album in 2026, with all three albums together recording the highest total first 24-hour streaming debut globally this year across all genres.

The songs “Iceman,” “Habibti,” and “Maid of Honour” were released unexpectedly on Thursday night, although “Iceman” had been in development and highly anticipated for about two years.

Following his intense public conflict with Kendrick Lamar, Drake clearly had a point to make. The streaming statistics indicate, at the very least, that the global audience was paying attention.
