A former conservative influencer has made some startling claims about the State Department under the Trump administration, suggesting that individuals working there encouraged her to spend money on cosmetic procedures and expensive items.

“I don’t think you people understand how these people are at the State Department,” said Ashley St. Clair, who previously served as a brand ambassador for the conservative activist group Turning Point USA, during an appearance on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends.

Although St. Clair never officially worked for the Trump administration, she claims that current State Department employees used to advise her to adopt what she described as “a Palm Beach aesthetic.” This included suggestions to undergo breast enhancement surgery and to purchase high-end fashion items.

During her time as a MAGA influencer, St. Clair was known for advocating for the hiring of certain conservatives within the Trump administration. She notably tried to push for Richard Grenell to be appointed as Secretary of State, but her efforts were unsuccessful, according to reports.

“There’s a class signaling that goes on with the plastic surgery,” St. Clair explained. “They’re like, ‘you need to go see Lara Trump’s spray tan girl. You need the Zimmerman dress.'”

She also mentioned that Trump officials would discuss a “China lady” who would “get them the fake bags so that they can continue this class signaling.”

This revelation adds another layer to the ongoing discussions about the influence of social media personalities and their connections to political figures. St. Clair’s comments have sparked further interest in the inner workings of the State Department and its relationships with various groups.

Key Points from the Claims:

  • Ashley St. Clair, a former conservative influencer, claims that individuals at the State Department under the Trump administration encouraged her to spend on cosmetic surgeries and luxury items.
  • She worked as a brand ambassador for Turning Point USA and was involved in promoting certain conservatives for roles in the Trump administration.
  • St. Clair suggested that there is a culture of “class signaling” among those associated with the administration, involving things like plastic surgery and designer clothing.
  • She mentioned the involvement of a “China lady” who provided fake designer bags, highlighting the extent of this behavior.

Background on St. Clair’s Role

St. Clair’s role as a MAGA influencer placed her in a unique position where she could influence public opinion and advocate for specific political appointments. Her attempts to get Richard Grenell into a key position reflect the broader strategy of some conservative groups to shape the administration through personal connections and public support.

Implications of the Claims

The implications of St. Clair’s claims extend beyond individual actions. They raise questions about the integrity of the State Department and the potential influence of social media personalities on political decisions. The idea that individuals within the administration might engage in or encourage such behaviors could have significant consequences for public trust and the perception of government operations.
