Rising Support for Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka in 2027 Presidential Race

As the 2027 general elections draw near, a growing number of support groups from across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones have publicly declared their backing for Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka, a former vice-presidential candidate of the Action Alliance and now a member of the Action Democratic Party (ADP). These groups believe that Dr. Chukwuka possesses the leadership qualities necessary to guide Nigeria into a new era of development and stability.

Key Groups Supporting Dr. Chukwuka

Several prominent organizations have pledged their support for Dr. Chukwuka, including The Patriots Movement, New Direction for Nigeria Movement, and Voters Engagement for Coalition of Six Geopolitical Zone Group for Democratic Transparency in Nigeria. Leaders of these groups highlighted Dr. Chukwuka’s extensive experience in both politics and community service as key reasons for their endorsement.

According to Sani Darma, Director General of The Patriots Movement, Dr. Chukwuka is the ideal successor to President Bola Tinubu. He emphasized that Dr. Chukwuka’s career as a medical practitioner and politician has equipped him with the skills needed to lead the nation effectively.

  • “The numerical strength of my group, The Patriots Movement, is about six million. That is to say that we have no fewer than six million members across the country. We have all decided to support Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka to become the next President of Nigeria in 2027 because we believe in his leadership capabilities.
  • I have been with Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka for more than 10 years. I know him very well in terms of his philanthropic activities, in terms of concerns about the country. He does not discriminate because of tribe, religion, or ethnic backgrounds. He is someone that always wants to discuss about how Nigeria can be better.
  • Our group strongly believes that he has the capacity to bring solutions to our challenges and move Nigeria forward to greater heights, that is why we are supporting him, and we are hopeful that he will emerge victorious during the 2027 presidential election.”

Visionary Leadership and Inclusive Policies

Comrade Mark Adebayo, National Convener of the New Direction for Nigeria Movement, praised Dr. Chukwuka’s approach to politics, which he described as free from ethnic and religious biases. Adebayo noted that Dr. Chukwuka has consistently promoted fairness and inclusivity, particularly in empowering the youth across different regions and faiths.

  • “I am personally fascinated by his professional background. Being a surgeon, I believe that Nigeria requires a surgical operation to reset the country. This country needs total resetting. For me, the challenges that Nigeria faces now are beyond somebody who says ‘oh I have capacity. I have integrity, I have this’. It is only a visionary leader who can fix this country.
  • Nigerians must become deliberate in the way we elect our leaders, but they require a lot of political education to get to that threshold of political understanding. We believe that both the political parties and civil society must come together to educate Nigerians to know that we must be deliberate and intentional in who we bring to power as president, as governors, and as senators.
  • From the local government level to the presidency, this is very important, and it takes a lot. So, a person like Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka is the one person that we believe can really do well for this country.”

Commitment to National Development

Abdulmutalib Gambo Dauda, National Coordinator of Voters Engagement for Coalition of Six Geopolitical Zone Group for Democratic Transparency in Nigeria, highlighted Dr. Chukwuka’s unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s progress. He pointed out that Dr. Chukwuka’s efforts to empower the youth, promote economic growth, and improve education have earned him widespread recognition across the country.

Dr. Chukwuka himself has outlined a comprehensive vision for Nigeria’s future, promising to tackle issues such as unemployment, insecurity, and poor infrastructure. He also emphasized the importance of leveraging global partnerships, citing his role in facilitating Russian investments in Nigerian projects like the Ajaokuta steel plant and the railway system.

Expanding the ADP’s Reach

In addition to individual support, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) has taken significant steps to broaden its base. The party recently launched a nationwide online membership registration platform, accessible via www.adp.ng. This initiative aims to make political participation more transparent, efficient, and inclusive.

Engr. Yabagi Yusuf Sani, National Chairman of the ADP, described the registration exercise as a “national awakening.” He emphasized that the ADP is committed to providing a credible alternative to Nigeria’s current political landscape, focusing on economic growth, security, and good governance.

  • “This is a national awakening. Nigerians are yearning for a credible alternative that delivers real economic growth, ensures security, and promotes unity. The ADP is providing that platform.”
  • “The online registration system has been carefully designed to remove barriers to participation by making membership accessible to Nigerians regardless of location. It also strengthens transparency through digital verification processes that enhance credibility.”

The ADP has called on young Nigerians, entrepreneurs, women, and grassroots leaders to join the movement and contribute to shaping Nigeria’s future. As the 2027 election approaches, Dr. Chukwuka’s growing support base and the ADP’s expanding reach signal a potential shift in the country’s political landscape.
