Guy Fieri Back in Action Post-Injury, Dominates Super Bowl Weekend Buzz
Celebrity chef and restaurateur Guy Fieri has made a triumphant return to the public eye, stepping out and about over Super Bowl weekend following a significant recovery from a torn quad muscle. The 58-year-old culinary icon, accompanied by his wife Lori, 54, was spotted at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, taking in the high-octane clash between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.

The couple, who are parents to sons Hunter (29) and Ryder (20), appeared in good spirits just three months after Fieri underwent surgery. The incident occurred when he fell down a set of stairs while filming the show Flavor Town Food Fight. Fieri, known for his signature style, was dressed in a striking red leather button-up shirt, reflective sunglasses, blue jeans, and boots. Lori opted for a white NFL-branded zip-up hoodie over a red top, paired with blue jeans.
Beyond the gridiron action, Fieri also hosted a major event on Sunday: Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate, held at the Cow Palace Arena & Event Center. His public appearances mark a significant milestone in his recovery, during which he candidly shared his experiences.
A Challenging Recovery and a Renewed Appreciation for Mobility
Fieri admitted that his recovery was a trying period, particularly around the holidays. “It was definitely a trying holiday, but you know what, you get some real appreciation for having the ability to just get up and walk around and do everything you used to,” he told People last month. The forced hiatus from his active lifestyle, which includes a passion for CrossFit and hiking, took a considerable toll.
“I’m a big CrossFit and hiking guy, so eight weeks of no hiking has driven me kind of crazy,” Fieri confessed. “But I’m looking forward to it, trying to take it easy.” He revealed that his doctors had cautioned him against pushing himself too hard, a sentiment he readily accepted. “My doctors are all like, ‘We know you want to get after it, but let’s not go back to where we were,'” he explained. His resolute response? “‘We are never going back to that!'” Fieri described the injury as “the worst thing I’ve been through in the last 20 years,” highlighting the severity of the setback.

During his recovery, Fieri was seen using a wheelchair, a stark contrast to his usual energetic persona. However, he is now “doing better” and gradually regaining his mobility.
Star-Studded Super Bowl Weekend in the Bay Area
The Super Bowl festivities in the Bay Area were a magnet for celebrities, with Fieri being just one of many A-listers in attendance. On Saturday, he was pictured at the 2026 Fanatics Super Bowl Party at Pier 48 in San Francisco, sharing a moment with Hollywood icon Kevin Costner.

The event saw a convergence of stars, with luxury suites and sideline seats filled with notable personalities. Actor Chris Pratt and rock legend Jon Bon Jovi were confirmed attendees. Bon Jovi had the honour of introducing the New England Patriots before kickoff, while Pratt took on the introductions for the Seattle Seahawks.

The game itself was expected to draw even more high-profile figures. Cardi B was slated to attend to support her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The “WAP” hitmaker had been a vocal supporter throughout the 2025-2026 season, attending several Patriots games and cheering him on during the playoffs.

Beyond the directly involved parties, a host of famous Bostonians were anticipated to be cheering for the Patriots, including Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Chris Evans, John Krasinski, and Patriots legend Tom Brady. The Seahawks, too, had a strong celebrity contingent, with support expected from Ciara, former quarterback Russell Wilson, Will Ferrell, and hometown hero Macklemore.
A Rematch for the Ages: Super Bowl LX
Super Bowl LX was billed as a high-stakes rematch, a decade in the making between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. NFL fans vividly recall their previous Super Bowl encounter in 2015, a nail-biting contest that concluded with a dramatic 28-24 Patriots victory, sealed by a last-minute interception on the one-yard line.

This latest chapter saw both teams entering the Super Bowl with new leadership under center. The Patriots were guided by 23-year-old quarterback Drake Maye, while the Seahawks relied on the arm of 28-year-old Sam Darnold.

Bad Bunny Makes History at Halftime
Adding another layer of cultural significance to the event, six-time Grammy winner Bad Bunny headlined the Super Bowl halftime show. This performance came just a week after his impressive haul of three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for DeBí TiRaR Más FOToS.
The Puerto Rican superstar delivered a high-energy performance, celebrating Latin culture and tradition by drawing from his extensive six-album catalogue. His appearance marked a historic moment, as he became the first Latin rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. Furthermore, he was the first performer to lead the show without singing a single song in English.
While the decision to feature Bad Bunny initially faced some backlash from conservative critics, the NFL stood firm in its support. League commissioner Roger Goodell defended the choice, lauding Bad Bunny as “one of the great artists in the world” and commending his ability to leverage the global platform to foster unity through creativity and talent.
