Pakistan, May 17 — Gold prices dropped in the domestic market on Saturday, with 24 karat gold per tola decreasing by Rs 600 to reach Rs 476,262, down from Rs 476,862 on the previous trading day, as per the rates released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of 24 karat gold fell by Rs 515 to Rs 408,317 from Rs 408,832, while 10 grams of 22 karat gold saw a reduction of Rs 472 to Rs 374,304 compared to Rs 374,776. In the global market, the price of gold dropped by $6 to $4,539 per ounce from $4,545. At the same time, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs 159 to Rs 8,073, and the cost of 10 grams of silver went down by Rs 136 to Rs 6,921. The international price of silver fell by $1.59 to $75.89 per ounce.
