A Crucial Moment for Arsenal
Martin Zubimendi has made it clear that Arsenal must win their remaining two Premier League matches to secure the title — and he insists the team is not concerned with what their rivals do. The Gunners are set to face Burnley on Monday, with a victory in that game putting significant pressure on Manchester City, who would then have to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday for Arsenal to claim the championship. This could end a 22-year trophy drought for the north London club.
Zubimendi stated: ‘We are very clear that to win everything, we have to do our job. We depend on ourselves, so I don’t think we care what the others do. We are focused on ourselves.’
Preparing for the Challenges Ahead
The challenge ahead for Arsenal includes a Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest in two weeks’ time. Zubimendi expressed his excitement about this upcoming match, saying: ‘We are looking forward to it, because in the end it has been a very long season and, well, we see that we are close, that we can do something big and be able to celebrate a possible feat. If we can do it then it is going to be an important moment for the fans.’
He added: ‘Hopefully, London will be dressed in red and I think that because of everything I’ve experienced this year, I want to think it’s going to be a unique day.’
Understanding the Pressure
Zubimendi is aware of the pain that fans and his teammates have endured from finishing as runners-up for three consecutive seasons, and he is determined to change that outcome this year.

‘It would be incredible,’ he added. ‘It’s true that (I) haven’t felt (not winning the league) as much as the fans and the (other) players who have felt it over the years with that desire to win this title. But, well, this year I think they have instilled in us all the desire and the expectation that there is in terms of that and those who have more experience here.’
