A kindergarten teacher at an Indianapolis Christian School confessed to having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student.
Torrie Lemon, 24, admitted guilt on Thursday to a felony charge of enticing a minor after her relationship with a female student from Colonial Christian School came to light last year.
Lemon received a four-year sentence, but was only required to spend 40 days in prison before starting a 1,420-day probation period.
As per police records examined byFox Digital, Lemon’s improper relationship started in January 2025.
Authorities claimed she had sexual relations with the student and “was involved in inappropriate behavior” on the premises of Colonial Christian School, at her own residence, and in the victim’s house.
The victim informed the police that she started a friendship with the teacher, but Lemon soon began talking about her attraction to women and making sexual jokes, as reported.Fox 59.
“Victim stated she never planned for their relationship to be sexual, and she wanted it to remain just a friendship because she was aware it was inappropriate,” the arrest affidavit said.
The victim was first kissed by Lemon on a school trip to Wabash, Indiana, according to court records.
The couple were permitted to stay overnight at the victim’s residence, where they reportedly slept on a pullout couch, as per the statement.New York Post.
Lemon sent the young person multiple messages, some of which included references to ‘orgasm’ and ‘lying in bed,’ according to court records.
One text said, ‘I love you beyond words.’ ‘I love my girl. Thanks for an incredible night and morning.’
The parents of the victim informed law enforcement that they had observed Lemon spending increasing amounts of time with their daughter, but ‘were unaware of the full nature of the relationship,’ according to the affidavit.
Her mother observed that their friendship appeared to develop quickly since Ms. Lemon sent her flowers and offered victim-related gifts within a few weeks, according to the report.
“Victim’s mother stated she was unsure when the relationship turned physical, but she observed that the victim and Ms. Lemon were constantly on the phone,” it continued.
The teenager’s father informed authorities that he knew she “kissed, hugged, and cuddled” Lemon but did not wish for the teacher to lose their job, according to court records.
The victim is said to have inquired with her father regarding the age of consent regulations in Indiana.
The Colonial Christian School informed the Daily Mail that they became aware of Lemon’s ‘misconduct’ on April 10, 2025.
We acted promptly, put the teacher on leave, and reached out to the Indiana Department of Child Services, as well as the IndianapolisMetropolitan PoliceDepartment,” stated the document. “The teacher’s position has been ended.
Throughout this procedure, Colonial Christian School worked fully with law enforcement and prosecution officials.
As stated in an arrest warrant, Lemon’s affair came to light during her supervision of a school trip to South Carolina.
A different student discovered images of the couple embracing on the victim’s phone and reportedly notified a school staff member, according to court records.
Lemon confessed to South Carolina police that she was “involved in an improper relationship with a student from our school.”
She received formal charges on June 30, 2025.
