Pakistan, May 17 — Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe were seen in Manhattan on Friday, May 15, to honor their son Deacon’s significant accomplishment: the graduation from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
The ex-partners, who split in 2006 following almost ten years of marriage, were seen outside Radio City Music Hall with their daughter Ava (26) and Witherspoon’s youngest son Tennessee.
Both parents were proud as they took pictures of Deacon, who wore a purple robe and a gold sash while receiving his diploma. Witherspoon appeared neat in a navy button-up dress with a white blazer and matching accessories. In contrast, Phillippe chose a casual outfit consisting of a white shirt, black pants, and sneakers.
The family gathered for photographs, with Ava capturing the day on Instagram and Phillippe posting an informal picture of “The Graduate” walking through New York’s streets. The gathering highlighted their ongoing dedication to shared parenting. Since their separation, Witherspoon and Phillippe have continually been there for their children’s important moments. Whether it was birthdays or graduation ceremonies, they have always kept a friendly relationship.
Witherspoon and Phillippe first encountered each other in 1997 prior to appearing together in Cruel Intentions.
They got married in 1999 and had Ava later that same year, with Deacon arriving in 2003.
