University of Abuja Elevates 21 Academics to Professorial Ranks
The Governing Council of the University of Abuja, now officially recognized as Yakubu Gowon University, has formally approved the promotion of 21 distinguished academic staff members to professorial ranks. This significant milestone was achieved under the chairmanship of Dr. Olanrewaju Tejuoso, as confirmed by Dr. Habib Yakoob, the Acting Director of Information and University Relations, in a statement issued on Sunday.
The announcement detailed that 16 senior academics have been elevated to the esteemed rank of Professor, while an additional five have been promoted to the position of Associate Professor. Vice-Chancellor Professor Hakeem Fawehinmi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly promoted academics over the weekend.
