Pakistan, May 16 — A 38-year-old individual was fatally attacked by a great white shark measuring 13 feet in length off the coast of Western Australia. The event took place on Saturday morning near Horseshoe Reef, close to Rottnest Island. This incident has led to renewed advisories for swimmers in the area.
Police stated the man was bitten just before 10:00 local time, northwest of Rottnest Island. The region is well-known for its beaches and surfing opportunities near Perth. Additionally, emergency services were quickly sent to the location.

Aerial video captured the victim being taken to the shore by boat for immediate medical care. Emergency responders and officers conducted CPR at the Geordie Bay dock. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead following failed attempts to revive him.
Officials verified that the incident involved a great white shark and advised the public to be cautious. The Department of Primary Industries cautioned swimmers to stay vigilant in nearby waters. Additionally, increased patrols and surveillance are anticipated in the region.

This event signifies the first deadly shark attack in Western Australia since March of the previous year. Australia has documented almost 1,300 shark attacks since 1791, resulting in over 260 deaths.
