Tragic Final Moments Captured: Woman Allegedly Killed by Husband, Body Transported on Motorcycle
Disturbing CCTV footage has emerged, detailing the final moments of Davine Kwamboka, a 30-year-old woman who was allegedly killed by her husband in their home in Migori County. The surveillance recordings offer a chilling account of events that transpired before and after her death, leaving a community in shock and demanding justice.
The footage, reportedly covering the last 15 minutes of Kwamboka’s life, shows her entering her residence with her husband, identified as Johnson, and an unidentified man shortly before nightfall. The sequence of events has raised serious questions about the circumstances surrounding her demise.
A Friend’s Account of Escalating Domestic Tensions
A close friend and colleague of Kwamboka, Doto Dida, revealed that the couple had returned home earlier that day, intending to resolve ongoing domestic issues privately. According to Dida, tensions were high, and an argument ensued.
“The husband was agitated, and they quarrelled for some time before he suggested they go home to sort out their differences,” Dida recounted. “The man was drunk. He even wanted to beat her.”
The CCTV footage then shows Johnson taking something from a window while on a phone call, as Kwamboka, dressed in a green T-shirt and blue jeans, opens the metallic door and enters the house. She was followed by her husband and the unknown man, who then locked the door, sealing them inside for several minutes.
Demands for Justice and a Thorough Investigation
Relatives of Davine Kwamboka have vociferously called for justice, questioning how three individuals entered the house, only for reports of her death to emerge shortly thereafter.
“How is it that when they entered the house, there were three of them, and minutes later we are told she is no more?” questioned Richard Nyahega, a relative. “She has young children who go to school and need her. We demand justice and a thorough investigation. We want to know the cause of her death.”
The Mysterious Exit and the Motorcycle Transport
The surveillance footage then takes a more sinister turn. While all three entered the house together, only the mysterious man is seen exiting alone, closing the door behind him. He appears visibly restless, pacing and making multiple phone calls before a boda boda rider arrives.
In a horrifying development, the footage shows the man and the boda boda rider dragging Kwamboka’s body out of the house. She appears unconscious. Her husband, Johnson, is seen emerging later, reportedly looking calm and composed.

The body was placed on the compound, and the two men briefly observed her, with the footage appearing to capture her final movements before she passed away. Struggling to move the body, they enlisted the help of additional individuals to lift it onto a motorbike. After considerable effort, they managed to place her body on the bike, with Johnson holding it as they departed.
However, their attempt to transport the body was intercepted. They were arrested while in the process of moving Kwamboka’s remains, along with other individuals suspected of being involved in her death.
Public Outcry and Reactions to the Tragic Event
The incident has ignited widespread outrage and grief on social media platforms, with users expressing shock and condemnation.
- zacharyokenye7206: Expressed sadness and a strong stance against violence in relationships. “It’s so sad. If you no longer need someone, just let them go instead of killing them. This kind of behaviour should be punished severely. If a relationship is no longer tenable, separate in peace, not in pieces.”
- elijah-r9k8k: Highlighted the ease with which a life was allegedly taken. “Killing a person has become so easy. Someone is killed in seconds, then carried on a motorbike to be dumped. What did I just watch? Such heartless people.”
- blackheresy: Pointed to a broader societal issue. “Kenya has too many sociopaths and psychopaths. The killing of women is a serious warning sign.”
- rosamariewanjiru8659: Drew attention to online misogyny. “There is growing hatred against women online, with toxic ideologies being spread. Women should stand firm and fight for their rights to exist safely in all spaces.”
- carolmutua5266: Shared personal fears stemming from the incident. “This has made me fear relationships completely. If someone approaches me, I start questioning their intentions. It’s scary.”
- Rachel Akinyi: Offered a possible explanation for the victim’s state. “That lady may have suffered convulsions inside the house. The man who came out seemed to be looking for transport and appeared panicked.”

A Separate Incident of Deception Captured on Camera
In an unrelated event, separate CCTV footage from Nairobi captured a different kind of unsettling encounter. A man, posing as a customer, entered a woman’s shop and engaged her in conversation. He presented a list of items he wished to purchase. However, as the shopkeeper turned to retrieve the requested goods, the man’s true intentions were revealed by the surveillance cameras, showcasing a moment of potential deception.
