Prime Minister Rahman took his oath of office on February 17th, administered by President Shahabuddin himself, at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
The Prime Minister’s visit to Bangabhaban followed an earlier engagement that day. He had participated in the inauguration of a friendly football match dedicated to Independence Day, held at the National Stadium, where he also observed the game.
