UK monarchy support plummets to lowest rate in 33 years

TalkTV host Samara Gill believes a contributing factor to the Royal family’s public support falling to its lowest level in more than three decades is that they are rejecting institutions “full stop”.

According to the new Ipsos poll, just over half of Britons favour Britain remaining a monarchy after public support for the Royal family fell to a 33-year low.

“I think young people aren’t just rejecting the Crown – they’re rejecting institutions full stop,” Ms Gill told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“We see this trend among Gen Z – they don’t actually automatically respect institutions anymore.”
