Sarah Ferguson Reportedly “Effectively Homeless” Amid Epstein Fallout, Finds Solace with Priscilla Presley
Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York and ex-wife of Prince Andrew, is reportedly facing a period of significant personal upheaval, described by an insider as being “effectively homeless” in the wake of the ongoing Epstein Files revelations. Amidst this challenging time, she is said to be finding support from a select circle of friends, most notably actress Priscilla Presley.
Ferguson, 66, has largely remained out of the public eye for several months, with reports suggesting her recent whereabouts have included a Swiss spa, villas in the United Arab Emirates, Portugal with her daughter Princess Eugenie, and a retreat in Ireland. This period of semi-seclusion coincides with the release of new batches of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, which have cast a spotlight on numerous individuals who had associations with the convicted sex offender.
An unnamed source claims that Ferguson has a dwindling number of people willing to be publicly associated with her. However, the 80-year-old Priscilla Presley, widow of Elvis Presley, is presented as a steadfast ally. Their bond is reportedly strengthened by Ferguson’s close friendship with Priscilla’s late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, whom Ferguson affectionately referred to as “sissy,” a term of endearment signifying a sisterly connection.
The latest reports suggest that Presley offered Ferguson a place to stay out of a sense of “sympathy,” particularly following the release of further Epstein Files in late January. According to the US publication Page Six, the insider stated, “Everyone’s telling her [Fergie] that now’s not a good time. A lot of people actually really like her, but being associated with anyone associated with Epstein just isn’t wise right now.”
Priscilla Presley, who has owned numerous properties across the United States throughout her life, maintains her primary residence in Los Angeles. Ferguson’s deep connection with Lisa Marie Presley, who lived in England between 2010 and 2016, was well-documented. Ferguson provided support to Lisa Marie during difficult periods before her tragic death in 2023 at the age of 54. At a memorial event for Lisa Marie held at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, ten days after her passing, Ferguson shared a poignant quote from the late Queen Elizabeth II: “My late mother-in-law used to say that nothing [that] can be said can begin to take away the anguish and the pain of these moments, because grief is the price we pay for love. And how right she was.”
A source in the US claims that Priscilla Presley has “not forgotten” Ferguson’s past kindness and is reciprocating that support in the wake of the Epstein scandal, leading to the assertion that the former duchess is now “effectively homeless.”

It is understood that Priscilla Presley has a long-standing connection to the Church of Scientology, having joined in the late 1970s after the death of Elvis Presley. While Lisa Marie Presley had distanced herself from the church, a spokesperson for Priscilla confirmed in 2017 that she remained a member.
An insider speaking to journalist and gossip columnist Rob Shuter suggested that while Ferguson has not joined the Church of Scientology, she is “looking for guidance” amidst the significant turmoil in her life. “When your life gets turned upside down, you start exploring anything that might help,” the source commented. “Right now she’s just listening. But Priscilla is definitely influencing her thinking. She’s looking for guidance and stability right now.”
The Daily Mail has reportedly sought comments from Ms. Ferguson, Ms. Presley, and the Church of Scientology.
The insider further revealed to the Daily Mail that Ferguson’s circle of trusted friends has narrowed to just a “few,” with Priscilla Presley being one of them. When questioned about Ferguson’s potential presence in the US, the insider indicated that she might be cautious about staying for extended periods due to potential calls for her to testify regarding her relationship with Epstein in America.
A Deep and Enduring Friendship
The friendship between Sarah Ferguson and Lisa Marie Presley was not merely a superficial connection within the entertainment industry. Friends described it as a relationship forged over 15 years, built on profound trust and mutual support.
“‘They hit it off on all sorts of levels,’ a friend of the Duchess said in 2023. ‘She talks of them bonding like sisters.’” Both women moved within similar social circles, with a friend explaining that Ferguson was part of a group that included Bob Geldof and his wife, and guitarist Jeff Beck and his wife Sandra, through whom she met Lisa Marie.

The depth of their bond was evident in Ferguson’s heartfelt tribute on Instagram following Lisa Marie’s death on January 12, 2023: “I say hello to you every day, and I love you, my Sissy, and I will continue to say hello to you every day . . . You have been my devoted friend for many years, and I am here for your family to support and love them. I am deeply saddened, my Sissy, you are in my heart.”
Ferguson considered it an honour to be asked to speak at Lisa Marie’s funeral. A friend noted that she “didn’t hesitate” and carefully selected a poem by George Frost for his father, Sir David Frost, which included the line, “It’s important to know that I have not gone, And I hope that, on you all, my light has shone,” deeming it highly appropriate.
Mounting Pressure to Testify
Meanwhile, pressure is intensifying on Sarah Ferguson to appear before a US congressional committee investigating Jeffrey Epstein. Congressman Suhas Subramanyam, a member of the House Oversight Committee probing Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, stated, “It is clear from the files we have that Sarah Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein had a close relationship. She once called Epstein the ‘brother I always wished for’ and Epstein provided her with financial assistance. She should tell our committee what she knows about Epstein’s financial and sex trafficking enterprises. If she has nothing to hide then this shouldn’t be a problem. No one, not even former royalty, is above the law.”
While a formal request to appear may be sent to Ferguson, who has been absent from public view for months, it is understood that she cannot be legally compelled to testify. This development follows appearances before the committee by former President Bill Clinton and convicted madam Ghislaine Maxwell.
Lawyer Gloria Allred, representing several Epstein survivors, commented, “Sarah Ferguson appeared to have a close relationship with Epstein.”

Allred continued, “She visited him at his office in Florida while he was serving his sentence after he was convicted of soliciting an act of prostitution with a minor. (He was allowed to sleep in the jail at night, and go to his office to work during the day.) Reportedly she even brought her daughters to visit him in his home. She communicated with him by email. She asked him for money and advice. She could provide valuable information to Congress. The survivors have indicated they are seeking truth, transparency and justice. Sarah could help Congress and the survivors learn the truth. She has indicated in the past that she cared about children in crisis and she created a charity to help them. Many survivors of Epstein were children in crisis. She can help them and her own reputation by testifying under oath.”
Emails released as part of the extensive “Epstein Files” reveal that Ferguson repeatedly sought financial assistance from Epstein and visited him in Florida with her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Some of the released communications include emails where Ferguson expressed: “I am at your service. Just marry me,” and a concerning reference to a 19-year-old Eugenie being on a “sh***ing” weekend.
However, Jonathan Coad, a media lawyer who previously represented Ferguson, expressed strong reservations about her testifying. “Of course she won’t and if she were still my client my very strong advice to her would be not to go. It would be a disaster for her, for her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie and also for Andrew, as it would show him up for not going.”
The family of Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, a claim he vehemently denies, has also called for Ferguson to testify. A spokesperson for Ms. Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, stated: “If Ferguson knows anything she should testify in the United States immediately.”
