The court’s directive was a response to an application formally submitted by Joseph Aloba. Magistrate Adefisoye Sonuga presided over the ruling that greenlit the DNA investigation, aiming to resolve lingering questions surrounding Liam’s biological father.
In a recent video shared on his personal TikTok account and observed by news outlets, Mr. Aloba articulated his frustrations, alleging that influential figures are actively working to obstruct the paternity testing process. “Certain powerful individuals have joined forces to exploit Mohbad’s death and hinder my progress,” Mr. Aloba stated in the video. “Following the toxicology reports, which yielded no definitive results, they have now opted for a questionable DNA testing center.”
He continued, expressing his resolve to seek a change of venue: “If it is feasible, we will petition to transfer the case from Lagos to Ekiti State. I will be consulting with my legal counsel on this matter.”
Mr. Aloba emphasized his unwavering insistence on the DNA test, making a direct appeal to the Lagos State Government. He pleaded for permission to proceed with his son’s burial, reiterating that the paternity test is a non-negotiable prerequisite.

The laboratories identified were DNA Diagnostics Centre, AlphaBiolabs, and Advanced Histopathology Laboratory Limited.
